On Sunday evening, December 30th 2018, a tragic off-duty accident abruptly took the life of Pismo Beach Police Sergeant Trevor Blevins while at his home on the Central Coast of California. Sergeant Blevins, a former Marine and an 11 year veteran of the Pismo Beach Police Department, is survived by his devastated, grieving and very private family (wife Meghan and three children). The Blevins family has a long, unimaginably tough road ahead of them and will need all the help they can get. The Pismo Beach POA setup this GoFundMe page for the sole purpose of providing financial assistance to the Blevins family going forward in their time of need. All donations will be transferred to a bank account for exclusive access by the family. Trevor lived for his family, and now that he has passed we will do our best as a community, both far and wide, to help his family in any way we can.
Information from the Ventura County Deputy Sheriff's Association:

Most of us get up in the morning. go about our days and never think about our local law enforcement officers, unless we hear another negative story on the news. There is a perception that there are a lot of bad cops out there. However the reality is that 99.1% of Law Enforcement officers are NOT accused of any misconduct of any kind. In 2015, 965 civilians were fatally shot by officers, this kind of situation gets the media’s attention, understandably. However, it is imp...
